Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska

IMG_0099

Our first day in Haines we went about exploring the town and found ourselves in the office of Mountain Flying Service we knew very little about the area but that we wanted to see the nearby Glaciers. We learned that the owner Paul flies a1956 totally rebuilt and upgraded DeHavilland Beaver! and that there was weather coming in for the next few days and that if we didn’t fly that day we might not get a chance. For the remainder of our time is Alaska we dreamed about that flight and perspective we go of that landscape. Was that landscape particular landscape in Alaska the most amazing on the coast, or was it just our perspective from above that made it seem that way to us?
